The Roanoke Times on Facebook

Are you on Facebook?

Of course you are. After all, the social networking site has over 54 million active users, with an average of 250,000 new registrations per day.

With numbers like that, we'd be crazy not to have a Roanoke Times presence on Facebook.

We're not crazy -- are we?

I hope not. That's why The Roanoke Times now has a page on Facebook in addition to our other previous groups.

Why are we doing this? Do you mean besides the 54 million active users? Besides the fact that Facebook is the 7th most trafficked site in the US?

Well -- that's pretty much the reason.

What's in it for you?

Our page will soon have features you can only access on Facebook. For right now, though, it has our front page story, top headlines, photos of the week, event calendar, videos, and posted items. You can also "review" The Roanoke Times, and tell us what you think we're doing right, or why you hate us.

Either way -- let us know if you have suggestions or questions. You can e-mail John Jackson, our online editor, or me.

Note: You must be logged-in to Facebook in order to see our complete page.
