Coming Up

In the market for a new home? Don’t miss the Open House guide in the paper Saturday and Sunday.

Top Dog choices for Friday, Sept. 17

Briefing is off today and will return full-time Monday. I’ll be doing an in-game blog on Tech-ECU tomorrow (1:30 p.m. kick) if you guys want to check it out and post your thoughts on the game.

So much for “moving day” on Wednesday. The Seattle Storm was the only dog to win last night, and nobody went there. So the standings (below) are unchanged heading into the weekend. Don’t forget to make your weekend picks if you haven’t already. Points are precious this week.

You can make Saturday’s college football pick here and Sunday’s NFL selection here. Here are your choices for Friday, Sept. 17 (pick one team/player in all-caps that you think will win and post it in the comment section) DEADLINE TO SUBMIT TODAY’S PICK IS 7 P.M. GOOD LUCK!:

Give me the Mariners at home over the Rangers…who don’t need to win with the rest of the division sitting so far back. Plus, I like the pitching match-up for the M’s, despite their awful overall record. Hernandez has been very good at home and has done better against the Rangers than CJ Wilson has done against the Mariners.

And the game blog will be something I drop in on, since I’ll already be at a computer to watch the game on ESPN3.

Kansas. I got some sweet Jay Hawks shorts the other day, think it’s a sign. Granted they were basketball shorts, but I still like that little bird guy.

  18. justafan | September 17, 2010 at 4:36 pm

Have to agree on 5-0. I liked Zulu as Kono. Now, that part is played by a nice looking young ladie….c’mon, that can’t be right. The original Chin Ho’s last name was Kelly. Not sure if he was really Irish or not.
