Because the Mountaineer fan base is, as a whole, the most disgusting group of thug fans you will ever see anywhere. They don't deserve to be rewarded for their thug behavior, they deserve to be punished. That, more than any other reason, is why WVU had to desperately join a conference located 1500 miles from their locale. Because everyone around here knows what scum they are.

The ACC’s unanimous decision to add Louisville was based solely on the profile of their sports programs and not on academics.

And why was WVU rejected again?

I can't believe anyone would try to say Bonds wasn't on the juice. Yeah, it's completely natural for a guy to move up three hat sizes in his late twenties-early thirties........right!

#31, the smoking gun in Bonds case is his admission that he used, but his lie that he 'didn't know' why the 'special cream' he was rubbing on his body obsessively had something to do with his muscle gain of 50 lbs in his late 30's.

The folks who pretend that they're not sure if Bonds used need to return to reality. Either that, or just question whether ANYONE, even those who admitted, ever used. Why believe ARod when he said he used? Maybe he's saying that to get street cred because of his reputation. That's no less absurd than pretending we can't be sure Barry Bonds wasn't as bad of a juicer as anyone outside of Jose Canseco.

And all the sportswriters who are so eager to anoint Barry Bonds to the Hall are the same ones who ignored all the evidence back in the day. Hypocrites? Absolutely. Buster Olney is just as two faced as Skip Bayless.

#23 dave, I don't know those guys well enough by my recollection with Sosa and Bonds (also not a nice guy, but who cares) was that their numbers (and physiques) took off right about the time they were suspected (in retrospect I presume) of juicing. So I suspect these "great" players while very good before their doping might not be Hall worthy without it. I ask the oft asked question; why should these guys get in the Hall while those who chose to not use have only modest numbers and are therefore overlooked? I guess without the smoking gun these guys get in but it will be a travesty and a smear against baseball. I do not buy the argument that everyone does it. To me that's a cop out and a rationalization and an excuse for baseball to allow these guys to get in. What pisses me off is that Rose played clean and committed his transgressions after his playing days were over. Just venting really. But I have no sympathy for anyone who does not play by the rules. It's should be simple but it's not. As much as I was an Armstrong fan, he got what was coming to him. Keep testing, suspending and testing. Carlos Ruiz from my Phils just got hammered and I say that's good for baseball, IMHO.

I was being sarcastic. Iowa is not the Big Ten's Top Team. No where close but thats what the Roanoke Times said yesterday. Tech defeats Big Ten's Top team. Did y'all forget Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State and Illinois, all ranked in top 25, the first 3 in the top 4 are in the Big Ten? Tech did not defeat the Big Ten's best team.

I agree with Aaron. The NFL are the worse offenders when it comes to players doping. I would venture to add the WWE to that list. Thos wrastlers are so dang big, too big for their own bodies, and there's no way that's all natural.
