Thanks

That’s the main thing I want to say: thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. Your positive thoughts and prayers were uplifting (my wife Jen read them to me.)

Quick update: surgery did indeed go well but the docs say this is one of those things were it takes some monitoring over the next two weeks or so to see how successful it really was. Terrible headache today but the say that’s normal the first day.

I was kind of hoping I’d awaken with super brain powers, a la “Rookie of the Year” or “Limitless.” No sign of that, but it looks like I have about eight pairs of Depends that I will no longer need. Good enough for me!

Still in ICU now but am told I can move to a regular room later today. If I pass all my physical and mental tests I could be discharged as early as tomorrow. Still not sure when I can drive/resume regular work sked, but I’ll be back as soon as possible. No plans to milk the grace period my bosses have offered; when I can go off the tee again, I will.

This episode reminded me once again how lucky we are to live where we do, where folks look after each other. I won’t ever forget the way you guys supported me in a rough time. Thanks again. See you soon, when we can get back to sports.

So glad to hear you are better A-Man. Take your time, we want you at full strength. Your physical test should be a breeze but some are wondering if you could have passed the mental test even before your procedure. You will probably do better now. Just kidding of course. (hope that sounded sincere). We’ll keep the good thoughts and prayers going. Update us now and again.
