AM good for you. If you avoid reading the judgmental tripe of many who contribute and concentrate on my wit and wisdom you will have fewer headaches and feel much better faster.

At the least you can watch Pebble Beach on CBS and have a good laugh or two.

Thanks for the concern, Sara. The doctor will review the MRI with me on Tuesday, so I don't know yet. Feeling pretty good most of the time. The doctor told me I'd have good days (some have been really good) and bad (with headaches, etc.) for at least a month, and that's definitely been the case. More good than bad, though. Still on a very limited work schedule for now but anticipate being in top form for the ACC tourney and state basketball tourneys.

VTRedwolf, Ditto and amen again brother. There must be no checks and balances at Tech because it`s hard to believe 2 people in authority would actually think firing a basketball coach in April because he didn`t contribute to a family atmosphere is a good idea. Read Berman`s story today. About half way thru it seems like Green is saying the last play was for Brown while JJ says it was for Green in the MD game. Anyway, I want JJ to succeed and also watch "Shawshank" every time it`s on. His favorite line from the movie is probably "You better get busy scoring or get busy losing" or something like that.

Vtredwolf - I agree with you re Green and the MVP. I think Green is the best player in the conference, and SHOULD be the MVP for all the reasons you mention... but Green will suffer the same fate as Michael Scott last year. A BigTwo player, surrounded by All-Americans and other options, whom opposing teams cannot afford to double-team, will get the nod instead over the guy who puts his entire team on his back. Life in the north carolina conference.

Plumlee is a major league ball hog and gets a call anytime someone sneezes within 10 feet of him. LOL at the suggestion that he is ACC POY. Incidentally, Plumlee will average less than 18 over the 2 games against VT this year; Green will average more than 23 in those same games. I think that says something.

Oh I did have one positive point (to end on an up note). If Green is not the league MVP someone should convene a congressional investigation. The kid is the leading scorer in the nation on a team with zero other options and is constantly double-teamed, plays max minutes, rarely gets a shot off without a hand in his face. Plumlee has plenty Weapons around him. I agree Green probably won't win it, but what he's doing is far more impressive than what Plumlee's accomplishing on a team like Duke.

Seth Greenberg took a VT team that had been a cellar dwellar in the Atlantic 10 and couldn't even make the Big East tournament and raised them to a top 4 ACC team 4 out of 5 years in a row. They beat the big boys on tobacco row with talent that would have never left the bench for Duke and UNC. Seth taught defense, patience, teamwork and most of all discipline. So Weaver fires him for not promoting a family atmosphere? And hires an assistant of his who had just left because he wasn't feeling the family atmosphere? Somebody stabbed somebody in the back on that one to be sure.
JJ has no idea what he's doing, you can see it in his eyes. The same look my son had after his first driving lesson - big eyed and no idea what was going on. JJ system? What system? Run and gun and no defense. Sure they're fun to watch if you don't mind losing. Roy Williams comforted him because he felt sorry for him - he's in way over his head. Last night as an example. You come out of a time out at the end of the game and your go to guy is Roberts? Huh? Worst shooter in the ACC? The guy is shooting about 22% for the last 15 games and nows the time he's going to get it together. The guys so mental right now he airballs a layup and so hesitant to shoot I feel sorry for him, but even knows he shouldn't be shooting. When he and Eddie team up to stink on the same night only Green can make us look like we can compete. Anyway, that was JJ's big plan? And then Eddie's piroutte 3? What was that?
Anybody who watches a lot of basketball can tell this team is poorly coached. Yeah there were the Seth Greenberg haters, they're the same guys calling for Frank Beamer's head and for Leal to QB instead of LT.
Truthfully I don't blame JJ. It's not his fault, he didn't hire himself. This is on Weaver. Did you ever think that Seth was happy JJ left? Maybe he encouraged him to go. Maybe he didn't like the impact JJ had on his players. Show me a basketball player that likes his coach and I'll show you a losing team. Coaches shouldn't need to be liked by players or assistants.
And Nigel Munson? Are you kidding me? You're outta your gourd.
I just wanted something to watch between football and baseball season and now here comes a March where I'm not even on the bubble and likely not to be there again.
This is Weaver's fault. It's not even so much that he fired Seth, which I obviously disagree with, but that he didn't even had a plan. It's one thing when the coach is caught embezzling or sleeping with a coed, but family atmosphere? That was your big emergency. Why, you just couldn't wait to hire a nobody assistant that might have been a decent coach someday after he'd had enough experience.
It's not JJ's fault and I should be more patient, but anyone who watched them in the first 10 games new the wheels were coming off when we got to ACC play.
And one last thing, there have been about 35 cases of the flu on this team so far and there's only about 11 players. Anyone ever hear of the flu shot?
