David Wilson, Blake DeChristopher make All-ACC first team; six other Hokies on second team
Virginia Tech running back David Wilson and right tackle Blake DeChristopher both earned first-team All-ACC recognition by the media, the league announced Monday.
Eight total Hokies made the first and second teams, while another five earned honorable mention.
Wilson, who led the league with 1,595 rushing yards, was one of two unanimous first-team picks, joining Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly.
Quarterback Logan Thomas, who surged in the second half of the season, finished as the second-team quarterback behind Clemson’s Tajh Boyd.
Guard Jaymes Brooks, defensive back Kyle Fuller, defensive end James Gayle, cornerback Jayron Hosley and safety Eddie Whitley made the second team.
Virginia Tech’s eight selections on the first and second teams were second only to Clemson’s nine.
Defensive end J.R. Collins, safety Antone Exum, kicker Cody Journell, guard Greg Nosal and injured linebacker Bruce Taylor earned honorable mention.
Here are the full teams. A first-team vote was worth two points and second team vote one. Unanimous selections marked with an asterisk.

No Boykins or Coale even in the honorable mention?
The voters on this one are having as bad a year as the ACC refs. They are only #1 and #2 in VT history for career receptions and yes, they will be playing on Sundays.

I can’t believe neither Danny Coale nor Jarrett Boykin made all ACC anything … leading all-time receivers at VT? Are you kidding me?

No Skip either. He’s been a beast all season.
LT was robbed of the 1st team honor, too. Boyd has been horrible for the past 4 games, while LT had 1 bad game, early on and has been unstoppable over the last 8 games.
