How do you think lawyers are hired? Closing your eyes and fingering the yellow pages? Usually it’s a friend/family connection, or a good testimonial from a friend.

Lawyering requires a personal touch, and personal relationships foster this.

As long as he isn’t representing both sides then there’s no conflict of interest.

The thing that gave me pause in reading the post was the line where “Turk [is] a close friend to coaches on the football and basketball staffs” makes me wonder if there’s a possibility for conflict of interest.

Interesting piece. As much as his name comes up, I’d always wondered about his background.
