The ACC office announced game times for portions of its early-season 2012 football schedule on Thursday, including times for Thursday night games throughout the year and the ACC championship game in Charlotte on Dec. 1.
Few of the games revealed for the Hokies were much of a surprise. The team’s opener on Labor Day night at Lane Stadium against Georgia Tech had already been set for 8 p.m. It will be televised by ESPN.
Virginia Tech’s two Thursday night games later in the season — at Miami on Nov. 1 and at home against Florida State on Nov. 8 — will both start at 7:30 p.m. and be televised by ESPN.
While most of the ACC’s game times were revealed through Sept. 15, Virginia Tech’s game at Pittsburgh that weekend still doesn’t have a game time. The league does not control kickoff times for non-conference away games.
The league also announced that the ACC championship game in Charlotte on Dec. 1 will start at either 8 p.m. on ABC or 7:45 on ESPN.
