I'll agree with Lakeshore, just in case it wasn't clear before. There are about eight guaranteed wins on our schedule, as always. If we dismiss all of that, then we're left to obsess over just a few games.

James Madison whipped us because we took them for granted and the coaches and team remained focused on the loss to Boise. NOT because of a short week, because we took them for granted and were still obsessed with the Boise loss.

Two days of Peay? I like it. Look, give the other guys, no matter who they are, some respect. You'd give GT or LSU two days hands down, no? It's interesting to see what the other beat writers are thinking and to get a perspective on what other coaches are running through their minds. Yeah, Tech should win this game; that's no surprise and we all know that, but let's hear what the other guys have to say and besides I'm sure the other writers are picking Andy's brain at the same time to write on their side as they are facing the same challenges as well trying to fill copy space in May and June, as Crocked Road points out.

Andy; you've done a great job on this blog and really brought the game on this coverage and I for one appreciate the in-depth analysis.

Two days of Peay? Isn't that like... a gallon?

Give Andy a break. He's got may, June & July to fill before anything real happens. The dude is pedaling as hard as he can.

Andy, maybe during the summer, you could do some in-depth interviews with the coaching staff. Ask them questions about stuff outside the typical parameters. Background stuff about their private lives. You know, like what does Bud Foster do when he's away from the football team? Does he fish? Hunt? What about his family? What does he do for vacations? Etc. That would be interesting, and would burn up a couple of weeks, too.

I like your idea of getting perspective from the other team's writer. I enjoy going on their websites before and after we play them. Reminds me that us Hokies aren't the craziest fans out there.
Look forward to your other interviews with the opposing teams writers.
