Thomas, Fuller picked to represent Hokies at ACC Kickoff
Quarterback Logan Thomas and cornerback Kyle Fuller were selected to represent Virginia Tech at the ACC’s media days on July 22-23 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C.

Schools send one offensive and one defensive representative to the event. Typically, seniors are chosen for the honor, but Thomas and Fuller, who both were second-team All-ACC picks last year, are juniors. In fact, they are two of six juniors who will be at the event.
Thomas is one of six quarterbacks who will be there.
Here’s the full list:
- Boston College: OT Emmett Cleary, DT Kaleb Ramsey
- Clemson: C Dalton Freeman, DE Malliciah Goodman
- Duke: WR Conner Vernon, DE Kenny Anunike
- Florida State: QB EJ Manuel, DE Brandon Jenkins
- Georgia Tech: QB Tevin Washington, OLB Jeremiah Attaochu
- Maryland: WR Kevin Dorsey, DL Joe Vellano
- Miami: RB Mike James, DB Brandon McGee
- North Carolina: QB Bryn Renner, LB Kevin Reddick
- N C State: QB Mike Glennon, S Earl Wolff
- Virginia: RB Perry Jones, LB Steve Greer
- Virginia Tech: QB Logan Thomas, CB Kyle Fuller
- Wake Forest: QB Tanner Price, NG Nikita Whitlock

These are two very good representatives for the Hokies.
Maybe there was a senior who had anticipated this choice as being his reward. But then again, there are six juniors chosen this year.
Good luck Hokies !!!
I have to think that we are showcasing both players for a reason. That could be leadership, poise, maturity or they expect to lose these guys next Spring.
It is Thomas’s team and this tells the world that. Fuller is to the NFL born. I am sure both will have their sports cliches well rehearsed. This year is the anniversary of Bull Durham.
I knew for a fact that the main reason junior Kyle Fuller was chosen is because the Hokies wants to impress his younger brother to come to Bt!,
Thomas better have his head on a swivel with Attaochu in the room.
Andy,
How in the world does Phillip Sims get eligibility to play for UVA this year when he actually played for Alabama last year? I thought players had to sit out a year when they transfered within the same division?
The NCAA can grant waivers for players to have immediate eligibility if they have a sick parent or relative that is the reason for their transfer.
I don’t know anything about Sims’ situation, but it would seem like that is the case here.
Kyle Fuller as well as Thomas were chosen because he is a play maker and team leader. To say otherwise (to impress younger brother) shows you are def not a Hokie and haven’t seen this talented young man in action. Mark my words; he has blossomed into an elite level athlete that is very worthy of this honor, as you haters will soon see every game this season. Kyle Fuller is NFL caliber.
