The last of the preseason award watch lists is out, and Hokies quarterback Logan Thomas made one more cut.

The junior was one of 50 players on the watch list for the Walter Camp Award, given annually by Division I head coaches and sports information directors to college football’s player of the year.

Thomas, who accounted for 3,482 total yards and 30 touchdowns as a sophomore, was previously named to the watch lists for the Maxwell Award (overall player) and Davey O’Brien Award (top quarterback).

I think Barkley might be the runaway winner in this one since he’s already anointed as the Next Great One for USC.

One thing that we can be sure of, Robert, is that you’ll be following his twitter page! You repeatedly prove that you just can’t get enough Hokie football!

Hokie24, you damn right i’m following him. I’m looking for recruiting violations, I notice Shane is following 2 of the top players in the state (Green & Fisher) Following a player is not a NCAA violation but tweeting them is. If Shane tweets one of them, it is my patriotic duty to report him to the NCAA. Do have a nice day!

Dang, just how many awards are there now? I’ll like to know if Mark May have his “Bonehead of the Year” pre-season award watch out already. ;)
