I think it’s more a case of: if ANY ratings service gives a higher ranking than the others, that is the one folks like to remember, for the best possible bragging rights. Like back in the old days of AP & UPI rankings for teams. Whichever service rated your team the highest (by a spot or two), that is the one you quoted.

5-Star recruits by any measure have been rare at VT, but the ones we’ve gotten have almost always been really good players for us. It’s nice to know Kendall Fuller is soon to join the Hokies, and here’s hoping he enjoys his time as a Hokie as much as the fans will enjoy watching him play.

I know exactly where several Liberty HS kids have ended up in the past. Ask anyone that follows recruiting closely, and they will tell you the same thing; UVa leads by a considerably large amount over VT for Teller.

No problem, Trevor. I had about 6 or 7 people tweet me the same thing. There are so many rankings out there, I’m sure some site had those guys as a 5-star. But only the four that I listed were consensus 5-stars.

Fisher and Fuller aren’t going anywhere but Tech, Wyatt Teller is the next big time recruit were going to get, getting fuller should help us with Teller they want to play together.

That sounds profound eh? Except of course for the 5 star reporter bit, it was totally in jest…
