Joe – come on, CR posted in #5 that Frank Beamer purposely made up the Colts story to Doughty so that he and Stinespring would look better in the eye of VT and college football fans. Really, when you state something as fact, that is ludicrous, then you’re going t get some blowback.

Andy probably should start riding herd on certain posters here who do nothing but bash those who don’t agree with the Hokie party line.

Jason Walton remarked to Grandma Walton that “a new broom sweeps clean”. Grandma quipped back, “yes, but it takes an old broom to sweep the corners”.
Hopefully the new brooms we have added will mesh with the wealth of experience we already have and stir up a little dust!
None of us knows how the mix will set up, but I believe we are all excited by the possibilities. Loeffler’s youth and talent, Grimes’ interesting talent and “cerebral” additions…just CHANGE.
Crooked, sorry I mentioned that thing about your meds a few days ago, seems like everyone’s onto you now.

Crooked Road, I’m not a cheerleader but I do believe the rant you went on yesterday concerning Beamer and Stinespring was totslly uncalled for. Mean spirited and full of false info. But I can understand that maybe it was a day when you forgot to take your meds.

I think these new coaches will come to Tech and fully realize that the cupboards are not empty. They will recruit this state and it will become clear instantly that Virginia is loaded. I also think that Logan shouldn’t just be given the job. It should be an open competotion. I would love to see another QB under center and the WR corps consist of 6-5 Thomas Smith, 6-4 Coles, 6-6 Logan Thomas, and the Newsome kid out of Hampton. Get as much talent on the field as you can and go for it!

It seemed that every year the rumor was Stinespring was looking, other colleges wanted him, so he needed a big raise. Raise given and he stayed. Now he is available and there are no takers…hmmmm. Looks like Hokie fans fell for it and gave him raises based on a hoax.
