Perch…sounds like sour grapes. Hokies only wish they had some traditions other than yearly disappointments. I may not know too many of you, but I watch, listen, and read. And I know my share of embarassment…I have to put up with Buckwild! Let’s revive the VT-WVU football game. It was a lot of fun.

Al’s real world includes it’s share of drunken folks if he’s an ‘eer fan. We need to cut him some slack, though, the toxic fumes from all those burning couches has possibly corroded his thinking. If he thinks VT fans gave Marcus Vick a pass (how long ago was that, anyway), then he doesn’t know too many of us. Many, if not most, were embarrassed by his association with VT, a feeling I suspect that is foreign to the West B’God crowd.

Props to DSU for landing Mizzell. But he is no Derrick Green. Green in HS was a man playing amongst boys. I dream that Tech’s new offensive staff, who are supposed to be terrific recruiters, will put a final push on Green, who just might be interested in the new regime. At least Stinespring is no longer in charge (was he ever?)

Hokies should have nothing to say about that drunk UVA player. Afterall, VT had a guy (20 years old) who was convicted, with 2 of his buddies, of giving alcohol to three underage girls. Remember the other Vick?

Zman…I got no problem. I’m just living in the real world. Talk is cheap isn’t it? Mike Vick’s famous last words were “I will return to VT”. Didnt’t happen. If you think that this running back is the answer for VT, when the D is weak and Beamerball is no longer feared or even exists, then you are fooling yourself. Heck, Marshall stayed with them for a half!

Mike…no ascot for me, it more buckskin and musket. Brie and Zima…nope. Its Moonpies and RCs.

Me neither perch, I hate to see any kid get in trouble with the law for any reason. Really hope it just wakes him up and makes him look around at where he’s at and what he could accomplish for himself while there. There are thousands of kids who would do anything to trade spots with him who would be of no trouble to Hooville police. Lets hope he realizes that. And after all, the popo know who he is now….he’s on their radar for sure after this incident.

Mizzell’s mistake in ‘Hooville seemed like typical student stuff. I’d be disappointed in him, but harder on his “host”. Hard not to get in trouble out drinking ’till the wee hours, then standing in the middle of the street kicking at passing cars! He hasn’t been there long enough for the local police to know that he’s the new “BMOC”, anyway. I don’t like the ‘hoos, but I have never wished hardship, injury or personal struggles on their kids. They are, after all, kids. Now their fans……

Frank, VT does not have any 175 lb. running backs on its active roster. As you know, Coleman bulked up to 192 before the season started. There are usually some light weights coming in as freshmen, but most of them add weight before playing. There are several in the NFL who weigh less than 200, and do a good job at RB. Hillman for the Broncos ran for 83 yards against the Ravens, and he weighs only 185. I also prefer RBs who weigh over 200.
