I was quasi-forced to watch 3 quarters of a Ravens preseason game. It unfortunately clarified one thing to me about backup QB’s. Trust me, the nation does NOT want to see either starting QB get injured. We’re not talking one rung on the ladder, we’re talking most of the ladder. Like I said earlier, I hope Tyrod gets to play a few plays, even if they’re inconsequential. I’m happy for him to be on a Super Bowl team, too…

I am sure Tyrod is in a much better place than Alex Smith. I wish no harm on Flacco or the K-man but it would be something if both went down and Smith and Taylor had to play it out with the game on the line. I wonder who will be the best prepared emotionally?

It would be nice to see Tyrod get in for a few plays, even if he were only kneeling down to kill time at the end of the game. At least he’s on the team, and gets to share in the buildup (and hopefully the win). He’s played in NFL games, and scored a TD, so that’s something to tell the grandkids about regardless of what else does or doesn’t happen.
