Signee profile: CB Charles Clark
King’s Fork defensive back Charles Clark is the latest Virginia Tech signee to fax in his letter of intent.
A 6-foot-1, 182-pound prospect from Suffolk, Clark played both cornerback and running back last year, although he projects as a defensive player with the Hokies. Tech lists him as a free safety.
He was a two-time Southeastern District Defensive Player of the Year, finishing with four interceptions in 2012, three of which he returned for touchdowns. He added 57 tackles.
Clark was also a first-team All-Southeastern District pick as a kick returner and a second-team pick as a running back for King’s Fork, which went 7-3 in the regular season and made the playoffs for the first time since the school opened in 2004.
He was a two-time first-team All-Tidewater pick by the Virginian-Pilot.
