Signee profile: LB Jamieon Moss

2.06p mossJamieon Moss, who switched his commitment from East Carolina to Virginia Tech last June, is the latest Hokies signee.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Moss is from Elizabeth City, N.C., where he had 135 tackles and 12 tackles for a loss as a senior for Northeastern High. He was a two-time first-team all-area selection by the Daily Advance.

He had 107 tackles and eight for a loss as a junior, getting his first scholarship offer from East Carolina. He committed to the Pirates last February but changed his mind once Virginia Tech offered.

Moss is one of two signees from North Carolina, joining Statesville quarterback Carlis Parker. He was born in Louisiana but moved to Virginia Beach when he was eight, living there six years before ending up in Elizabeth City.

His first name is pronounced JAY-me-on.
