The NFL Combine starts today. Well, not the part you care about. But it begins nonetheless.

The first group of players — kickers, specialists, offensive linemen and tight ends — arrive in Indianapolis to begin pre-examinations and interviews. You know, all the boring stuff that doesn’t make for remotely interesting television.

In fact, with the exception of the bench press for the first group, the on-field workouts — aka, the Underwear Olympics — don’t take place until Saturday through Tuesday.

Virginia Tech has five players at the combine — wide receivers Corey Fuller and Marcus Davis, linebacker Bruce Taylor, and offensive linemen Nick Becton and Vinston Painter. Becton and Painter will be first up in the lineup.

Sadly, we won’t have anyone there this year to interview the players. But I’ll be following along on the NFL Network once they get to the on-field portion, so check back throughout the weekend for updates. Here’s the full schedule for the week:
