I’ve made it a point of pride to have something new on the blog every day in the year and a half since I was hired at the Roanoke Times and Virginian-Pilot, even during the down months of the football calendar. To date, I’ve done so.
But for the rest of this week that won’t be the case. I’m headed to Ireland for a golf trip with my dad and brothers. Needless to say, the blog will be the furthest thing from my mind.
But I do want to put up a post to solicit input from you, the readers. I’m curious what you’d like to see on the blog, especially during the next few months, but also when football season starts again. What do you want to see more of? What do you want to see less of? Are there more research intensive things that I can delve into now that there’s more available time to do so?
I still have some plans for the next few months. When I return next Monday, I’ll get to the post-spring position breakdowns that I’ve done in the past. It might be a few weeks after the spring game, but it’s still relevant to take a look at how Tech left things off heading into the summer. And in the next few months, I hope once again to get beat writers of teams on the Hokies’ schedule to give some insight about the schools they cover.
But there’s a lot of other time to fill and plenty of ways to do it, so I’m looking for ideas. I’m not saying I’ll be able to do all of them, but I do want your feedback.
I’ll only be able to check comments periodically, so if they don’t post immediately, do not be alarmed (and please try to play nice). We’ll get things up and running on the blog again Monday.
