Each school in the commonwealth had one nominee. James Madison linebacker Stephon Robertson edged out last year’s winner, Old Dominion quarterback Taylor Heinicke, for first place. The award was presented by The Touchdown Club of Richmond and the Richmond Times-Dispatch at a banquet Wednesday night.
