Question of the Week: Is Roanoke Southwest Virginia’s zombie capital?
This morning I learned of a new Kickstarter project. Young Roanoke filmmaker Jake Wood seeks the funds to film a half-hour short, “Zombie Lecher,” about an old hermit caught in a zombie apocalypse who ends up with, hmm, four sorority girls trapped in the cabin with him as the undead groan outside. Great art? Doubtful. Great schlock? Perhaps…
| Given Roanoke has already served as the setting for the recently wrapped remake of “Plan 9 from Outer Space,” and given Studio Roanoke will soon debut the new musical “Zombie Boyfriend!” I find myself needing to pose the question: is Roanoke now the zombie capital of Southwest Virginia? |
