Now playing at Radford University: “The Voice of the Prairie”

John Olive’s play “The Voice of the Prairie” celebrates the early days of radio. It alternates between the adventures of a young boy named Davey and a blind girl he falls in with named Frankie, and Davey as an adult, hosting a one-man radio show in which he spins tales of his childhood.

The Department of Theatre and Cinema at Radford University will perform “The Voice of the Prairie” at 8 p.m. Feb. 22-24 and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Feb. 25 in Hawes Studio Theatre in Porterfield Hall. Admission is free, but tickets are required. For more information, call 831-5289 or email cvpa411@radford.edu.
