The word is in as to who gets what in the final round of the Taubman Foundation Sustainability Grants:
Organizations receiving $100,000 grants: EventZone (pay debt/fundraising); W.E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center (enhance revenue); *Historical Society of Western Virginia (marketing); Mill Mountain Theatre (development staffing); *Opera Roanoke (programming); *Salem Museum (debt reduction); *Science Museum of Western Virginia (enhance revenue); *Virginia Museum of Transportation (marketing/leveraging).
Organization receiving $55,000 grant: *Roanoke Children’s Theatre (enhance revenue).
Organizations receiving $50,000 grants: *Apple Ridge Farm (marketing); *Arts Council of the Blue Ridge (endowment/pay debt); Chorus of the Blue Ridge (marketing); *Grandin Theatre Foundation (improve infrastructure); *Jefferson Center (infrastructure); *Southwest Virginia Ballet (strengthen endowment).
Organizations receiving $25,000 grants: *Local Colors of Southwest Virginia (marketing); *Harrison Museum of African American Culture (retire debt); Roanoke Ballet Theatre (reduce deficits); *Studio Roanoke (general operating support).
