Hollins Festival of Student Readings to take place in Taubman Theater

From Sunday’s column:

Hollins play festival moves to Taubman

The Hollins Playwright’s Lab was hunting for a new location for its Festival of Student Readings in late June while work is done to get air conditioning installed and fully operational in Center on Church, which houses Mill Mountain Theatre’s Waldron Stage.

Program director Todd Ristau wrote in a July 1 email that the festival will be held in the Taubman Theater at the Taubman Museum of Art in downtown Roanoke.

The festival shares staged readings by students in the Hollins M.F.A. in playwriting program. A different play is presented at each reading, which are scheduled to take place 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 20; 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 21; 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 22. The entire event is free. For more information call 362-6386, email tristau@hollins.edu or visit Hollins Playwright’s Lab on Facebook.
