New River Valley theater troupe turns to Kickstarter to upgrade sound equipment
Taken from the Kickstarter website: New River Stage, a community theater in the New River Valley, is seeking funding to purchase their own sound system.
| New River Stage is a non profit organization that has been in existence since 2004 and has been borrowing/renting microphones ever since. This summer we’ve decided to raise enough money to purchase our very own mics! Combined with the money we already have saved we will need an additional $6,000 to purchase 10 head mics and all the gear that’s necessary to make them work.
We will be able to use these mics in our big spring shows (perhaps you got to see HONK!, Once Upon a Mattress or Tom Sawyer, just to name a few) as well as our smaller murder mysteries (such as Count Down to Murder or Virginia Jones & the Curse of Nergal.) We will also be able to use them in our children’s shows, such as the Dramatic Mondays performance of Peggy & Pete, the Pint-Sized Pirates or our Summer Camp performance of Willy Wonka Junior. We serve all ages, shapes and sizes, bringing the best quality within our means to the stage, and owning microphones will allow us to do that while saving us a substantial amount of money over the years. Donations are tax deductible. Any amount will help! |

Our number of pledges have gone up since you posted this, plus we got the help of Bud Foster! Thanks so much!
You’re welcome, and good luck!
