Overnight Sensations still on track for Saturday at Hollins Theatre

Snatched from Facebook and YouTube. FULL DISCLOSURE: I was an actor in this last year and will be again this Saturday. —MikeA

OVERNIGHT SENSATIONS
Saturday, 8:00pm until 10:30pm

8 PM OVERNIGHT SENSATIONS PERFORMANCES
Hollins Little Theatre Main Stage
FREE! (Donations accepted)

Overnight Sensations is Roanoke’s version of the 24-Hour Plays. 6 playwrights are randomly teamed with 6 directors and 6 pre-selected casts of local actors, celebrities and patrons of the arts. Together they create in only 24 hours 6 newly brewed 10-minute plays presented to the public. This unique event allows lots of hand-on participation in every aspect of making theatre and represents an opportunity for inter-organizational cooperation. This year the event is hosted by the Hollins University and is co-produced by Mill Mountain Theatre. Special guest artists will include MFA playwrights, Playwright’s Lab guest artists and faculty and many local personalities!

For the past six years, the event has always been hosted at the Mill Mountain Theatre on the Trinkle Main Stage. This year, due to renovations to the Center in the Square, the event will be on the Hollins Campus in the newly renovated Hollins Little Theatre. (Now with air conditioning!) We hope you’ll join us for the same great show in this new (temporary) location!
