Local film blog “Dusty on Movies” previews Blue Ridge Film Festival
Dusty Wallace of the blog “Dusty on Movies” sent me links to two new entries he’s done that preview films to be screened at the Blue Ridge Film Festival taking place in Buchanan from Oct. 12 to 14.
The first entry explores an odd documentary called “Childen of the Stars”:
The second describes his meeting with Christiansburg actor Bo Keister, who appeared in “Remember the Titans” and appears in locally made films such as “Blue Ridge” and the upcoming “House of Good and Evil.” Keister’s film “The Deed” opens the festival.I’m not quite sure how to describe Unarius. It’s a cult. It’s a religion. It’s a group of filmmakers. It’s a school. In my opinion, it’s a collection of highly suggestible individuals who celebrate their shared delusions.
You might think the Appalachian Mountains are a strange place to build your acting profile. Keister has used the Internet to keep himself nationally relevant. He told me he’s had two auditions via Skype and landed both gigs.
