Gamut Theatre calles for auditions for “Waiting for Godot”

Hat tip, Kathy Guy. From my Inbox to you:

Gamut auditions for Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot

Samuel Beckett

Gamut will hold auditions for the up-coming production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot on Saturday, December 15th from 2 pm to 4 pm and on Monday, December 17th from 7 pm to 9 pm.  Auditions will be held in the June M. McBroom Theatre at Community High School, 302 E. Campbell Avenue, Roanoke, VA.  Gamut is seeking actors to fill 5 roles.  Men and women of any age are encouraged to audition.  No monologues are necessary. Please dress comfortably.

Waiting for Godot is a “tragicomedy in two acts”.  This absurdist play by Samuel Beckett has been considered the most significant English language play of the 20th century.   “Whether or not you will agree, is up in the air…which is entirely consistent with the status of the characters in Godot,” says Miriam Frazier, the production’s director.

Performance dates are February 28 through March 2 and March 7 through 9, 2013 at the June M. McBroom Theatre at Community High School, 302 E. Campbell Avenue, Roanoke, VA.

For further information, please contact Artistic Director Miriam Frazier at gamuttheatre@gmail.com or call 540-521-6049.
