Comedian Lisa Lampanelli cancels Dec. 14 Roanoke Civic Center show
Staff writer Mark Berman offers the details.

Lisa Lampanelli, “The Queen of Mean”
Her publicist, Yvette Shearer, said in an email that Lampanelli cancelled because of a scheduling conflict. She would not elaborate.
Lampanelli is known for her television appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Celebrity Apprentice” and Comedy Central’s celebrity roasts. Her Roanoke performance was announced in October.
Roanoke Civic Center general manager Robyn Schon said she was not told the conflict that prompted the cancellation. She said ticket sales were not a reason for the cancellation.
“Tickets were moving along,” Schon said.
Schon said ticket refunds can be obtained from wherever fans bought their tickets — the civic center or hometownbanktix.com.
