I’m hoping there will be more movies made in the area this year. It’s my understanding that Virginia offers some decent tax incentives to filmmakers now so hopefully we’ll see some independents coming around.

Hopefully the Taubman will rebound in 2013 as well. I’d also love to see a successor the The Shadowbox Microcinema.

We have been involved in a project to bring attention to the Roanoke Valley. Roanoke County’s “Arts & Entertainment Conference” will take place on April 12-13, 2013. This is a revival of the Film Festival which took place here in the valley several years ago. We are really excited about it and already formulating ideas for next year’s event. We hope that many people will come out and support this effort. We have some special guests and some workshops and other surprises in store for everyone.
