Trailer of the day: “Perks of being a Wallflower”

Today’s trailer of the day is a movie trailer instead of a book trailer. I thought I’d share it and ask your opinion since it was a subject discussed back in 2009 when the book the movie is based on, “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” by Stephen Chbosky, was challenged in Roanoke County Schools resulting in the book only being available to high school juniors and seniors. Freshmen and sophomores need permission to check the book out.

The movie has a PG-13 rating and is due out in September.

Have you read the book? Do you plan to see the movie?

About this blog

Books editor Suzanne Wardle read cereal boxes, lists of ingredients and just about anything when she was a child, so it’s no wonder she grew up to read for a living at a newspaper. She posts reviews, news, discussion topics and musings on literature of all types. When she’s not reading, she’s out on the greenway with the dog, testing recipes in the kitchen and trying to persuade friends to watch bad monster movies with her.
