American Association of University Women (AAUW) 47th annual used book sale

One of my favorite yearly book events will be held this weekend. The American Association of University Women will have their annual used book sale, Friday, September 7th through Monday, September 10th, 2012, in the upper level of Tanglewood Mall across from Belk.

They have tons of used books (hardback and paperback), records, CDs, DVDs, audio books, games and puzzles, in a wide range of genres all at bargain prices, most under $5. If you’re looking for books this is the place to shop.

Proceeds support local, state, and national scholarships and the AAUW Roanoke Valley Branch Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Seminar for 9th grade girls.
Have you gone to this sale in the past? What are some of the treasures you’ve found? What are you hunting for this year?

What are the hours for the American Association of University Women’s used-book sale beginning tomorrow (Friday) at Tanglewood Mall?

About this blog

Books editor Suzanne Wardle read cereal boxes, lists of ingredients and just about anything when she was a child, so it’s no wonder she grew up to read for a living at a newspaper. She posts reviews, news, discussion topics and musings on literature of all types. When she’s not reading, she’s out on the greenway with the dog, testing recipes in the kitchen and trying to persuade friends to watch bad monster movies with her.
