I drive to Roanoke… Valley View.. I live in Dublin.
Richmond!
Charlottesville, VA
Floyd. Love it there — shopping for unusual items
Greensboro — love the variety of stores at Shops at Friendly and Four Seasons Mall, and it’s an easy day trip.
I have gone to Greensboro to do Christmas shopping.
I love to go to Roanoke. You have the choice of malls or small shops and lots of places to eat!
It depends on how far I want to drive – for a short trip, I love Ponnie’s Boutique on Olde Town Drive in Shawsville; or a little farther – The Columns, Must Have Shoes, and the JCrew clearance stores in Lynchburg; and Barracks Road in Charlottesville is always great with so many shops!
If I had to choose a place not too far from Roanoke, I would pick short pump mall for some great shopping.
I voted for Roanoke (Valley View & surrounding shops) as an out of town day of shopping. I live in Christiansburg!
I like to go to Mebane, NC to the outlet mall!
Short Pump in Richmond!

From Lexington, either Roanoke or Charlottesville.
Does downtown Salem count as “out of town?” Cause that’s where I go!
Blacksburg
I would travel to Pigeon Forge. Great shopping and shows!
Richmond is a three hour hike and well worth it.
I love just shopping around home (Floyd) but if I have to travel, I love to go to Hagerstown Maryland and shop at the Prime Outlets.
I think Short Pump is the best place to go!
Shops at Dayton in Dayton, VA
We’re surrounded by great shopping areas: Richmond, Charlottesville, Charlotte, Northern VA (outlets!) and the cool off-the-beaten-path spots: Bburg, Floyd, Cambria…
I voted for Short Pump Mall in Richmond for an out of town shopping spree. It has great stores and restaurants.
I voted for the Hagerstown (MD) outlets.
I live at the lake and could go to Lynchburg or Roanoke to do major shopping. I seem to always gravitate toward Roanoke!
We like to shop Roanoke for a daytrip, especially Christmas shopping destination. Good places to get bargains and wonderful places to eat. Thank you!

I’ve enjoyed shopping at the Reston Town Center in northern Virginia. No big stores, but it is attractive in appearance and you can walk around.
I love to shop at Concord Mills and especially Garden Ridge. Another great place for “girl shopping” is Pigeon Forge for a nice few day getaway.
