Fincastle Library Spring Book Fair is April 3, 4 and 5

Need a new book or books to read on vacation, by the pool or on the front porch? The Friends of the Fincastle Library invites you to attend the annual book sale April 3-5.

Proceeds from the book sale go to fund the children’s reading programs at the Buchanan and Fincastle branch libraries. The book sale will take place during regular library hours, said Rena Worthen, a member of the library staff and a friend as well.

“We have books in a wide variety from out of print to best sellers! Please, we need volunteers and are always looking for friends at all of the library branches,” she continued.

For more information on being a book sale volunteer call the Fincastle Library circulation desk at 473-8339.

Cathy, Thank you for helping us market the Friends of the Library book sale at the Fincastle Library. We had a great bunch of volunteers who came by today to cary books in from stotage, and sort them on the tables. We look forward to a successful sale, and I hope to see every one of your readers at the sale.
Thank you for helping your Library Friends once again.

I hope the sale is going well. I know I am excited about the
summer programs. I got to touch a bearcat last summer. Ohhh myyy! I found each one of the programs I attended was very
much fun for the kids as well as adults in attendance.

The book sale was a huge success. I want to thank all of you who helped with the set-up and sales. We wrapped up on Saturday, with the volunteers staying late to help prepare for the final phase on Monday. Our next sale is scheduled to begin on the last Thursday of July. We plan a raffle, a bake sale and a book sale. This will also run for 3 days.

I am in trouble with the folks who attended this sale, because there was no bake sale. I won’t let that happen again. I’ll be calling on you all for baked goods when time nears to the end of July.
I aim to please, so folks will need to put on your chef’s hat and head for the kitchen.

Thank you again, Cathy for all your help in the marketing of this event.
