September 4, 2008Spa Divinity is an Aveda Eco SpaSpa Divinity is Botetourt County's full service spa, said owner Cheryl Tucker of Daleville. The Spa is located on the hill beside of the Botetourt Athletic Club and actually, the aroma upon opening the door to the business can be described as divine. More than that it is an Eco Spa-- environmentally friendly in many ways. Colleen Carrell, Life Coach and yoga instructor, Cheryl Tucker, owner and Carolan Deacon, Carolan Deacon. Her title is senior esthetician, with their Aveda Spa Award from last year. Spa Divinityspadivinity.com has entered it's third year of business. "We are a "day maker" spa," said Tucker. "Day Maker" is a story of one of the founders of Aveda -- David Wagner who started at the first Spa parking cars. "We are Divine in the three definition way," said Tucker. " A Higher Power, superb or like candy-- a treat. This can be your candy day. We want to make your day." Services at the full eco friendly spa include full salon services in hair, pedicures, manicures, waxing, facials, massage, body treatments, yoga, life coaching-- from one service to a half or full day of services. They serve individuals as well as groups. Spa Divinity is beautifully appointed, smells wonderful and serene in every locale of the building. Aveda offers a global conscience to their products which have all natural ingredients. The company gives back to the areas around the globe where they find their ingredients. They try to do the same at Spa Divinity. They recycle bottles and water bottles used by clients for instance, but there is more. For instance, this Saturday, September 6, the Sierra Club will be handing out materials in the Spa and showing a video on what they are and do." said Manager Carolan Deacon. Also on September 8, they will be starting a local group to have a focus on local environmental conscience and taking action in needed areas."It has to start somewhere, we believe a few can do much for the environment one step at a time." said Deacon referring to the eco nature of the business. Currently they are holding a raffle to benefit the American Heart Association for a "Spa day for two" and that drawing will be held on October 25, said Tucker.
