Jerry Burgess, the Botetourt County Administrator, sent The Botetourt View this statement in response to today’s state Supreme Court ruling in favor of The Glebe’s non-profit tax status:

“We are disappointed with the ruling and believe that the dissenting opinion was correct. Nonetheless, we understand that the majority opinion is final. We continue to believe that it was the right thing to do to take this case through the Courts. We also continue to believe that The Glebe is an asset to Botetourt County and are prepared to move on accordingly.”
