FFA Sponosor Stuart Byrd sent this announcement, the FFA really needs the public’s help he said:

The Lord Botetourt FFA is kicking off its annual citrus fruit sale.

Each year the FFA sells citrus fruit just in time to be delivered fresh from Florida. This year the fruit will be at the school ready for pickup on December 9th 2008 just in time for Christmas. We will be taking orders through the 23rd of November. Our annual fruit sales is one of our largest fund raising programs with the money going to support our chapter activities for the year. Last year the FFA used the money to buy presents for patients at local nursing homes in the area, made donations to the Toys-for-Tots program and was able to send several students to leadership development events. This year we hope to do even more with your help.

We currently sell 5 varieties including Red Navel Oranges, Navel Oranges, Tangelo Oranges, Hamlin (Juice) Oranges, and Ruby Red Grapefruit. You can purchase these in either a 4/5 bushel (approximately 40 lb.) box for $22.00 or in the 2/5 bushel (approximately 20 lb.) box for $14.00. We also have sunburst tangerines available in the 2/5 bushel size for $18.00. For those who would like a variety of fruit we are selling two 4/5 bushel variety boxes for $24.00 one is a 1/3 variety mix of Navels, Tangelos, and Red Grapefruit, and a ½ variety mix of Navels and red Grapefruit.

To place an order please call the School at (540) 992-1261 between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm. Thanks again for your continued support.
