Lord Botetourt student places first in tractor competition

LBHS student Matthew Taylor placed first in the BRAC Federation Competition

Matthew Taylor placed first in the BARC Federation Tractor Driving Competition held at Lord Botetourt High School on Tuesday September 30th. The BARC Federation is made up of the schools of Bath, Alleghany, Roanoke and Rockbridge. In this competition students have to take a written test and operate a farm tractor trough various obstacle courses pulling both 4 wheel and 2 wheeled implements. Matt will continue on to compete in the Northern Area competitions against the best drivers from high schools along the I-81 corridor from Roanoke north to Winchester. The Lord Botetourt FFA would like to also thank Blue Ridge Farm Center of Buchanan for Sponsoring Matt in this competition.
