Botetourt's 9 U Outlaws won the Super Regional Tournament in their division this past weekend in Botetourt.

Congratulations to the Botetourt 9u Outlaws “King” select girls’ basketball team who Captured the CHAMPIONSHIP of the 2009 AAU Super Regional National Qualifier held right here in Botetourt County. Solidifying their right for the 2nd week in a row to go onto Nationals.

En route to the championship of the 3 day tournament, the 9u Lady Outlaws “King” stood undefeated once again! They defeated the 9u Fairfax Stars (16-12), 9u Galax (33-5), 9u Cardinals (36-5), 9u Classics (33-15) & 9u Surry Storm “Bunker” (21-17).
They previously faced off against the Surry Storm “Bunker” earlier this month in North Carolina when the 9u Lady Outlaws “King” went on to win 1st place in Surry Storm’s March Madness `09.

This Super Regional was hosted by the Outlaws. They had over 40 teams, from 8 states, playing at 6 facilities playing over 90 games Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

The 9u Lady Outlaws “King” finish their season with a superb record of 20-2. Taking 1st place in the Radford Recreational Classic, Surry Storm March Madness & the 2009 AAU SUPER REGIONAL.
Placing 2nd in the TPLS New Years Shoot OUT & 2nd in the Virginia STATE FINALS `09.
