Good Samaritan award winner sought by Civitan Club of Botetourt

Civitan Club of Botetourt does a lot of good things for many people like the Blue Ridge Autism Center, so help them find a Good Samaritan, too!
From Civitan of Botetourt President John Markey:
Civitans Seek Good Samaritan
For over 50 years the Civitan Club of Roanoke has sought and recognized a person in the Roanoke Valleywho best exemplifies the “Good Samaritan” in the bible. This person is one who does good things for people without any expectation of recognition or remuneration. Now the recently formed Civitan Club of Botetourt is seeking a “Good Samaritan” from Botetourt County.
Reverend Dan Coy from Parkway House of Prayer is the committee chairperson for this service project.
Letters have gone out to many of the churches from our Botetourt County area asking for their nominations.
The club is asking all Botetourt County residents to nominate their “Good Samaritan.”
If you know of someone who deserves this honor, please send a letter to Rev. Coy at P. O. Box 563,
Daleville, Virginia 24083. Please tell us what this “Samaritan” has done and why you feel this person
is worthy of this honor. It is recommended that testimonial letters accompany your letter. A panel of 3
judges who live in Botetourt County and are not members of the club will judge the entries. The
deadline for entries is May 15th.
The winner will be announced at their club’s regular meeting on June 3rd.
