Your online guide to the May 15 issue of The Botetourt View
And now, it’s Lord Botetourt’s turn.
Last week, we had paparazzi photos from the James River After Prom. This week, we have paparazzi photos from the Lord Botetourt After Prom. And even though we have four pages worth in our print edition, well, that’s still not enough room to run all of them — so you’ll find the rest online, in this photo gallery.
By the way, that’s Egan Nash, Robert West, and Tracey Laliberte.
We even have photos of the Lord Botetourt After Prom decorations.
Those aren’t the only online extras we have this week, though.

I know you write for Botetourt and I just had a awful experience at Three Little Pigs. Why I try to support local business I will not be going back. My family and I went to dinner around 6:30 on a Thursday evening and at 7:30 We still had not be served our food (2 BBQ sandwiches and chicken tenders kids meal). When we spoke to the manager as we paid for our drinks we were told sorry. Not let me see what happened or we will get it right out. We spoke to the owner also about how there were only 3 tables in the restaurant sat with guests and the porch, only the porch was getting their food served. We were seated directly across for the cash register, and hello if I am a waitress I may have asked the kitchen why my tables food was not ready. The owners comment to us was SORRY, your ticket was lost. All respect for him went out the window. What happened to customer service. I was not aasking for anything free but for my food. My family of two adults and two children were very patient and we hope we served as role models for our children by not causing a scene but by paying for our drinks and speaking to the manager. I will now let everyone know of the poor management. By the way we ended up at Wendy’s, it was my children’s bedtime. You should have a rating system for the local restaurants so others don not need to be treated so poorly.
The situation mentioned above was very poorly handled by our staff. There were many factors involving Cris’s dinner that evening. Everything and anything went wrong. We were unusually busy for a Thurs. night and did not have enough staff to give the service that was needed. There was a huge lack of communication on the part of the server and manager. Then on top of that our computer printer in the kitchen went out. It was just one of those nights. In the middle of all this chaos was when Cris’s ticket was momentarily lost cause it did not get printed. This of course is not a customers fault and Cris and her family should have never been subjected to our problems . We try very hard to make sure customers leave happy. Cris had every right to be upset. I have children myself and it is never fun to feel ignored especially with hungry kids. There was a huge breakdown in our system that night. I have spoken to Cris through email several times. Thankfully she is a regular customer and realizes that what happened was not a normal occurrence and has decided to give us another chance. No business is perfect but input from customers does help you to become better.
Thank you to the owners of Three lIttle Pigs for handling the problem we had in a timely manner. We will be trying the restaurant again and hopefully will be able to report a wonderful experience as we have had in the past. We do think it is important to help our local businesses survive in this tough economy. Thanks for allowing this discussion.
I look forward to my meal, they do serve delicious food.
