Former teacher calls Morgan Harrington “a genuinely nice person”
The young woman reported missing after a Metallica concert at the John Paul Jones arena in Charlottesville Saturday night is an Alumni of Lord Botetourt High School. (See our original post on Oct. 19 about her disappearance.)
Morgan Harrington came to LBHS from Northside late in her high school career. She was noted to be a good student and graduated in the Class of 2007.
She served as Tater Benson’s student aide in his Special Education Class.
Benson had this to say about Harrington:
“Morgan is an outstanding person. She was an aide in my class. She had a positive effect on my class and is a genuinely nice person and she made our class a lot of fun. We are all praying for her safe return.”
Harrington is majoring in education at Virginia Tech and according to the press conference held by her parents yesterday, was supposed to be home Sunday afternoon to study with her father for a Math test she is supposed to take today at Virginia Tech.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call the state police at 434-352-3435 or University of Virginia Police at 434-954-7166.
