An account has been set up at Carter Bank & Trust, Botetourt and Hollins Rd branches for the Snyder family who lost everything in a fire on Tuesday night April 6. The account is set up in Sean Snyder’s name. The family had no rental insurance and lost everything including their car, but escaped from the burning home without injury including the dog.
Donations are also being accepted at Altec Industries located at Greenfield Industrial Park, where Sean Snyder works. –From Sheila States
Jessica, the mother of Hannah and Christian the children involved said, ” We will be having a bake sale/food fest of sorts in order to raise money to give to the Snyders. We have rented out Troutville Town Hall on Saturday, April 17th from 2:30-6:30 PM. There will be baked goods, hot dogs and the fixings, and we will also be preparing some asian food (fried/steamed rice, eggrolls, and asian kabobs) that we will be selling to help get the family back on their feet. If you want to drop off any items for the family, please stop by and show your support. The family will be there to personally thank you. If you want to donate any items for the bake sale or any paper products, items that may be needed for the preparation and serving of the food and drinks, please contact me at Jcbtaylor1@yahoo.com. Thanks so much for the support of the family, we really appreciate it!”
