Ridge Rifle Association/NRA Youth Shoot set for May 22

On Saturday May 22 Ridge Rifle Association/NRA  will hold a Youth Shoot, ages 8-18. 8:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. Don’t worry parents, the course is designed to teach fire arm safety and shooting and instruction. Fire Arms, Safety Glasses and Ear Protection will be provided.  Each participate will receive a Goodie Bag. Lunch provided by Ridge Rifle Association. There will also be a Grand Prize drawing for a  .22 caliber rifle.

Relay for Life Team sponsors Bingo on Friday May 7

Join the Eagle Rock Chargers as they raise money for Relay for Life. Beginning at 6pm, dinner will be served. Bingo will begin at 7pm. Come and enjoy an
evening of FUN while supporting a great cause.

Location VFW Hall in Trinity/Daleville on Roanoke Road

Food will include Hotdog or BBQ, Chips, Drink for $2.50. Desserts will be sold separately.

Recreation Days at sports complex is Saturday

This Saturday May 1 you and your family are invited to join the Botetourt County Parks & Recreation Dept. as we host “Recreation Days” at the Botetourt Sports Complex from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

All Activities are Free to the Public…such activities include a Car Show, Face Painting, Inflatables, Caricature Artist and Coloring tables along with baseball/softball games of recreation teams from each region the County. Hope to see you all there!!!!

Botetourt County Parks, Recreation and Tourism will host a free Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition for area youth on Sunday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Botetourt Sports Complex.

Pitch, Hit & Run is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills. Photos: Children’s choir prepares for Splash Kingdom

Here’s a picture of the children’s choir of Wellspring Presbyterian.  They performed their musical, Splash Kingdom, on Wednesday night at the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center.  They will share their musical with the community and residents of the Glebe on Saturday, May 1st at 10 am in the Botetourt Room of the Glebe in Daleville.
