Need a CDL? Try Dabney Lancaster open house 11/9

Dabney S. Lancaster Community College will host an open house Tuesday, November 9, at 6:30 p.m., in Room 509, McCarthy Hall, on the Clifton Forge campus, for anyone interested in the Commercial Driver’s License, or truck driving, course.

Representatives from the Western Virginia Workforce Development Board will be on hand to explain eligibility requirements and the process for applying for a “Movin’ On” grant designed to cover the cost of the CDL tuition. DSLCC’s CDL instructors will also be hand to answer questions about the course.

This open house is free and open to the public; participants will be asked to register through the DSLCC non-credit program. For more information, contact CDL instructor Bill Tiffany at (540) 863-2919 or email btiffany@dslcc.edu, or contact the DSLCC Non-Credit Coordinator at (540) 863-2863 or email jclark@dslcc.edu.
