Here are pictures of a mission trip that DaVon Ross took while on Spring break.

DaVon went to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip organized by Project PX.  His group visited a children’s hospital in Santa Domingo, went to village called Fucimana to paint two houses and visited an orphanage.  While there, the group also visted historical sites and went to the beach on their free day.

DaVon is the son of Elaine Goode of Glen Wilton and is a sophomore at Emory & Henry.

BTEC Automotive classes get Chicago Pneumatic Tools donation

Chris Frost, Automotive Service Instructor spoke recently about a nice donation to BTEC.

“This past November Donnie Sale and myself took several students on a field trip to the SEMA show in Las Vegas, NV. While at the SEMA show, which is the world’s largest auto trade show, we made some contacts with tool and parts vendors. One of which was Marvin Spehar who is Chicago Pneumatic’s Marketing Communications Manager. Chicago Pneumatic is a worldwide, very large air power tool company. I kept in contact with him after the show and through several emails he worked out a very generous donation to help our Auto Service and Collision repair programs. He has donated a bunch of brand new air impact wrenches, orbital sanders, palm sanders, mechanics gloves, hats and a big banner. The value of the tool donation is $4,836.20, not counting all the gloves, hats and banner.  We really send out our appreciation for the donation”

The students in his class are: Ben Alexander, Jake Gray, Shawn Sowers, Kole Bushong, Nick Delp, John Harrison, Spencer Snead, Cody Berkley, Jame O Neill, Cody Bowling and Matt Corvin.
