Botetourt firefighters hold “Fill the Boot” campaign on Sept. 3
LOCAL FIRE FIGHTERS PUT MUSCLE BEHIND FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
WHO: The Botetourt County Fire Department will hold its 1st Annual Fill the Boot to fundraise for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This year Botetourt County fire fighters are fundraising to benefit local families living with progressive muscle diseases.
WHAT: Local MDA families and staff will help motivate the Botetourt County fire fighters from Local 4830 as they gear up for their 2011 Fill the Boot campaign. Fire fighters will collect on Saturday, September 3rd.
WHEN: September 3, 2011
9:00AM – 2:00PM
WHERE: At Kroger in Daleville and the intersection of Kingston Drive and Roanoke Road/Route 220
Daleville, VA
WHY: For more than 57 years, members of the International Association of Fire Fighters have done more than put their lives on the line for their local community. Their donations help fund the Association’s research projects, comprehensive health care and support services, and week-long summer camps for youngsters.
