Camp Bethel sponsors Family Weekend Sept. 2-5

LABOR DAY FAMILY WEEKEND, SEPT 2-5:
Join us Friday, September 2 through Monday, September 5. Check www.campbethelvirginia.org/labor_day.htm for meal menus, the schedule of activities, our football viewing times and concert/performance schedule. Tent Camping and dry RV sites still available; day visitors welcome! Bring bikes, hiking shoes, family games and swim suits as we close out the summer together. It’s a great new-old family tradition; Camp Bethel at its best! RSVP meals by August 30!

SUN, SEPT. 4, 7:30pm: BAND OF BRETHREN in concert!
Band of Brethren return to Camp Bethel’s Hillside Auditorium, bringing their excellent blend of gospel, folk, rock and all-time-favorites. This concert is open FREE to the public! Bring money for free-will offering for the band and for bottled water. Also bring flashlights & marshmallow sticks for S’mores.


SAT, OCT 1 is 27th BRETHREN HERITAGE DAY FESTIVAL is Camp Bethel’s biggest day of the year! Please encourage everyone in your church to participate and attend this vitally important fund raiser for Camp Bethel. Tell your friends and help us advertise. Heritage Day forms, fliers and information are available at www.campbethelvirginia.org/hday.htm, from your Pastor, Camp Rep, or at (540) 992-2940. SAT., NOV 5 IS FALL WORKDAY:
Please help us prepare for the fall/winter conference season: leaf raking, tree work, splitting firewood, clearing trails, clearing gutters, winterizing facilities, etc. Projects for all skill levels; FREE (limited) lodging Friday night; FREE Saturday 7:30 breakfast; FREE 1:00 lunch. Make the weekend an annual church/group retreat with free lodging and meals! We especially would like to see all youth of the District here! CHRISTMAS TOGETHER BANQUET, A CAMP FUNDRAISER, THURS, DEC 1, 6:30PM:
“All the believers were TOGETHER.” – Acts 2:44. You are invited to our Christmas TOGETHER Banquet on Thursday, December 1, 6:30pm for an excellent dinner and a praise-filled program in our festive, decorated Ark Dining Hall. Your gift of $50 per person (larger gifts accepted) will provide much needed year-end funding for Camp Bethel. Our collective ownership and support of Camp Bethel puts TOGETHERness into practice as described in Acts 2:43-47. WINTER CAMP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH, DECEMBER 29-30:
Give yourself a Christmas gift and send the kids to Winter Camp, Thursday December 29, 10:00am through Friday, December 30, 2:00pm. Winter Camp is a fun and spiritual holiday program for campers in 1st through 12th grades led by our reunited Summer Staff. $60 includes 4 meals, lodging and all programming including games, hiking, crafts, Bible Study, summer 2011 slide-show, our big bonfire, singing, fellowship and a sneak-peek at summer 2012.
