Photos: LBHS ALL CLass Reunion full of “Boomers” on July 30
Several hundred alumni of Lord Botetourt High School attended the All Class Reunion at Braeloch in Vinton. While thunderstorms raged earlier, the only boomers around by sunset were in the crowd. The predominant attendees were Baby Boomers from the 70s and early 80s. The youthful crowd from the 90s and 2000′s were nowhere to be found. It didn’t matter that the DJ had never heard of “The Horse” a standard of the LBHS football game back in the day. Numerous women danced the “Cupid Shuffle” and “Electric Cha Cha Cha.” People strolled around seeing old friends from different class years.
Organizers hope to make it an annual event and the next one is 5-11 p.m. on Saturday August 4, 2012.
