Friday, June 1st: Registration for Summer Reading Program Begins. Hey kids! Sign up for Summer Reading Program and take part in all the cool, free programs at the library this summer. You’ll also get a log to keep track of the time you read over the summer. Read enough minutes for your age group and you’ll receive a prize packet! 10:00am-5:00pm
Friday, June 1st: Craft Time – Sunny Suncatchers. Catch some rays and make them sparkle by joining us to create your own cool suncatcher! 2:45pm. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.
Tuesday, June 5th: Storytime – Animals in the Library. What if animals could visit the library? Find out what might happen at this fun storytime. For our craft, we will make a bookmark and play a fun bingo game. 10:30am. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.
Thursday, June 7th: Email for Beginners. Join us in our computer lab and learn the basics of using email. When you complete the class, you’ll have your very own email address – and you’ll understand how to use it. 6:00pm. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.
Friday, June 8th: Craft Time – Horse Decoration for Potted House Plants. Hey kids! Join us as we make a cute horse decoration that will brighten up any potted plant! 2:45pm. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.
Saturday, June 9th*: Community Yard Sale. Check out the great deals at our Community Yard Sale! All table fees ($15.00 per participant) go to the Friends of the Eagle Rock Library. 10am-2:00pm. If you have items you want to sell and would like to take part, call the library at 884-3880. *The rain date for this event will be Saturday, June 16th.
Monday, June 11th: Friends of the Eagle Rock Library Monthly Meeting. Come join the Friends Group and learn how you can help raise funds and support for the library. 6:00pm.
Tuesday, June 12th: I love my Daddy! Join us as we read stories about Dad. For our craft, we will make a cute craft you can give to your Dad for Father’s Day. 10:30am. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.
Wednesday, June 13th: Knitting Club. Join other knitters and crocheters from the community for this informal get-together where you can learn, help others to improve their skills, and work on projects in a relaxing environment. Bring your own supplies, projects, tips, and ideas to share. 10:00am.
Friday, June 15th: Craft Time – “My Dad Rocks” Paperweight. Don’t have a gift for Dad for Father’s Day? No problem! Join us and make a cool paperweight to give to your Dad on his special day. 2:45pm. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.

Monday, June 18th: Storytime – Come Meet Tessie the Cow! There’s an “udderly” special guest coming to this storytime who is sure to please. And after our stories, we’ll all be in the “mooed” to make a fun cow craft! 10:30am. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.
Wednesday, June 20th: Summer Reading Program Kickoff Event – Magic Show with Fish the Magish. Join us and experience the fun and amazing magic of Fish the Magish. 2:00pm. Register your child for Summer Reading Program at the Library’s circulation desk.
Thursday, June 21st: Book Club. Join us for our June Book Club and take part in the lively discussion of David Baldacci’s moving book – Wish You Well. Copies of our July selection, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, will also be available at the front desk. New members welcome! 10:30am.
Friday, June 22nd: Craft Time – Helium Balloon Launch. Hey kids! Join us for an awesome helium balloon launch, where we’ll see how far your balloon can go! We’ll send up cards with our first names (and the library’s contact information) attached to helium balloons. When your balloon lands many miles away, the person who finds the card will write back (or email the library) and we’ll see just how far your balloon traveled! 2:45pm. Monday, June 25th: Storytime – Mice are Nice. Some Moms may be scared of them, but during this storytime, we’ll read all about squeaky, cheese-loving mice!. 10:30am. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.
Tuesday, June 26th: Summer Reading Program – Roanoke Children’s Theater. Roanoke Children’s Theater presents this interactive stage experience with music and movement that is full of frolic and fun! 11:00am. Register your child for Summer Reading Program at the Library’s circulation desk.

Thursday, June 28th: Movie of the Month – Mirror, Mirror. After she spends all her money, an evil enchantress queen schemes to marry a handsome, wealthy prince. There’s just one problem – he’s in love with a beautiful princess, Snow White. So, the sinister queen banishes Snow White from her own kingdom! Now, joined by seven rebellious dwarves, Snow White launches an epic battle of good vs. evil in this funny, magical movie that the whole family will love (Rated PG/106 min). 2:45pm.
Friday, June 29th: Craft Time – Make a Ladybug Tic-Tac-Toe Game. If you love board games, join us for this cool craft time where we’ll make Tic-Tac-Toe boards – that look like ladybugs! 2:45pm. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880–
